About Victoria
Hi, I’m Victoria Strange. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor in Texas who works with neurodiverse women and young adults who struggle with anxiety, stress, self-esteem, and balance, while learning to manage life’s transitions.
You CAN reset your path. Let’s do this together.

My Journey To Becoming
A Counselor
Adulting is rough at every stage of the game. It’s a learning curve balls that spans each stage of life. Through the support of my ever-evolving relationships with friends, family, mentors, colleagues, and my own therapist, learning myself and finding emotional balance has been a work in-profess and my life-long goal.
My personal growth throughout my life has helped me to become the counselor I am today.
I enjoy helping women and young adults find their assertive voice, feel strong in their decisions, manage their mental health, and feel confident and connected to their adulting identity.
I have a natural ability to:
- Sit with you through the deep feeling moments
- Connect with you through shared humor and snark
- Collaborate with you on your own strategies and strengths
- Provide insight into your patterns and processes
- Meet you where you are in each ebb and flow
- Support you and your autonomy each step of the way
It’s important to me to provide a non-judgemental space where you can be yourself and ensure that the process is collaborative. There isn’t a “one size fits all” approach to Counseling. Our sessions are tailored to fit your specific needs and concerns.
My Values
I believe through secure conversation, collaboration, and connection, we can feel empowered towards growth.

I believe access to reliable information and resources allows us to think strategically about our goals and gives way to opportunities to make strong decisions for ourselves, our families and our futures.

Background And Qualifications
Let me put my formal hat on for a sec.
I have a bachelor’s degree in psychology, and a minor in gender studies from Stephen F. Austin State University in 2008, and a master’s degree in Community Counseling from Sam Houston State University in 2011. I was trained at the Houston Galveston Institute in family systems theory in 2011 for my graduate degree internship.
I have been practicing professional counseling in the state of Texas since 2011. In 2013, I started my private practice serving the Houston community with counseling and neurofeedback. I have a background in neuroscience and a toolbox full of resources to support the therapeutic process.
My overall perspective in working with clients is founded in strength-based therapy (focusing on the client’s internal strengths and resourcefulness) and person-centered therapy (focusing on your ability to find your own solutions with support). I also incorporate strategies from my training in neurofeedback and emotionally-focused therapy.
I see clients as the expert in their own lives and in their own thoughts and feelings. My role in the therapeutic relationship is to facilitate inspiration, provide guidance and insight, and give tools and strategies that will be most effective in encouraging positive change.
We will sort through the context of the matter, find the patterns, grow the insight and reset your path so you can grow your confidence through each transition.
